Permanent Makeup

Permanent make up, micropigmentation or microblading is a procedure that is done to improve, correct or completely reconstruct lost eyebrows and to add definition and symmetry to lips.

Micro-pigmentation

Micropigmentation is a permanent cosmetic tattoo performed using a digital machine and needle.

Microblading or Machine?

Microblading is done using a hand held tool with a tiny blade.  Using the digital machine the pigment is implanted deeper into the skin known as the dermal layer.  It lasts longer than microblading and can be touched up more times than blading.  You can also create a natural shade throughout the brow creating a fluffy effect.  Blade and machine can both deliver good results, however skin type and texture will play a huge part in what method is used as microblading is very limited to those who have oily/thin skin, as pigment retention will blur and fade quickly.

Using a blade or machine can create super fine hair strokes, however this technique will not give you the "Instagram Brow" meaning a sleek, powdery, defined make up look that everyone is asking for.  This heals super fluffy with a powdered finish for all skin types.

Hairstroke Brows (machine) - £350.00

This is the most natural and realistic finish brow. You can glam it up for an evening by adding pencil or powder for a bolder look.

Includes a retouch procedure 6-8 weeks after initial treatment.

Powder Brows - £350.00

A very soft, powdery finish.  This style is recommended for clients that have hair and want a background colour to their brows or for clients that don't like the look of hair strokes.

Includes a retouch procedure 6-8 weeks after initial treatment.

The Ombre Brow (Instagram Brow) - £350.00

Like powder brows, this is a soft powdery finish, fuller towards the ends of the brow and very soft fading towards the inner side of the brow.  This ages really well and is recommended for clients that have combination to oily skin.

Includes a retouch procedure 6-8 weeks after initial treatment.

Combination Brows - £350.00

 FAQs

  • Boldness is to be expected especially with the ombre style technique. Eyebrows will appear 30%-50% darker, sharper and thicker. Redness and swelling may occur in the first 3-5 days but will soften and lighten taking up to 14 days.

  • You will expect the pigment to lighten and soften around day 14. It can take up to 28 days to fully see the results.

  • Yes, your colour will look very dark as soon as your procedure is finished. You may experience slight patchiness and fading in your 1st healed result. Around week 2 your colour will heal and may look slightly ashy and see through, this is to be expected as the skin is shedding so pigment will look lighter and cooler. Weeks 3-4 the pigment may appear stronger and richer in tone.

Please note; Colour may hold a slight ashy undertone on skin types that are quite pale or hold a very cool undertone, however don't worry this can be totally normal and extra warmth may be added in your 2nd procedure.

  • PMU is suitable for most but not suitable for those with:

KERATOSIS, DIABETES, DERMATITIS, VERY DRY AND PEELING SKIN, THOSE TAKING WARFARIN OR ANY OTHER BLOOD CLOTTING MEDICINES, PREGNANT OR BREAST FEEDING MOTHERS.

  • BROWS

The results last anywhere between 12-18 months depending on skin type and other factors including skin type, UV, medication and illnesses.

Usually a colour boost is performed after 12 months to retain the shape and saturation of the pigment.

    LIPS

The results can last 2-5 years.

No alcohol 24 hours before the treatment as alcohol thins the blood and it will help push the pigment out!!

    Also:

NO MAKE-UP ON BROWS UNTIL THE SCABBING HAS FINISHED
    NO SWIMMING
    NO SAUNAS
NO HEAVY GYM SESSIONS AS SWEATING WILL CAUSE THE PIGMENT TO LIFT OUT OF THE SKIN
    NO SUNBEDS
    NO SELF TANNING
NO PICKING OR FIDDLING WITH YOUR NEW BROWS/LIPS

Adhere to the above and your brows/lips should stay amazing!

  • 6 weeks after your initial treatment you will come back for your second treatment - the retouch. It is vital to wait the full 6 weeks as this is healing time for your brows.

Permanent Make Up is always done in 2 parts and this is just as important as the first treatment. Here I assess your brows to see how well the pigment has taken and how well they've been looked after.

I then do the first treatment again.  This time you may wish to add more shape or go deeper in colour, it's entirely up to you.

The second part is included in the price. However, if you do not return for your 2nd treatment within the 6 week allotted time scale then an additional stand alone fee of £75.00 will incur.

  • Yes, however, on the first session we will have to colour correct your lips to cancel out the cool tones. This means the initial colour we tattoo MUST be orange! If we are to tattoo any other colour you risk darkening your lips further or having absolutely no results at all. When healed at 6 weeks, most if not all of the darkness in your lips will be covered and your lips will have a nudey-pink even tone. Note that results cannot be guaranteed and lightening or evening out dark lips may take a few sessions. Under no circumstances will we tattoo a "NUDE" colour on dark or cool toned lips. If you are unsure if you have dark or cool toned lips you can send us a picture of your lips in natural light to confirm. Lips too dark or thick will be rejected so please be sure to email pictures if your lips are extremely dark grey or black in colour.

  • Yes, only 2mm. The skin on the lips is not thesame as on the face and things can look unnatural or get unpredictable when we tattoo too far outside the natural lipline.

  • This procedure can trigger cold sores for carriers of the herpes simplex virus. To prevent cold sores from flaring up it is recommended to go to your family doctor and get Zovirax or another antiviral medication prescribed to take 5 days prior procedure, the day off, and 5 days after. Note that a cold sore outbreak can alter the healed results of the tattoo.
